The counter people at the BWI Budget check in counter are ignorant, not helpful and rude. Not only do they not know how the system works but then gave us faulty information. If I could award less than one star I would. I doubt seriously if we will use Budget in the future. I would rather pay more and get good service. I waited 10 days to calm down from pissed off to just irate at this time.
We found the staff very friendly and moved the line as quickly as possible. The only problem we had was not knowing how to start that type of car. There was no one around so we had to go looking for someone but at that point he was very helpful. The price was extremely affordable.
Terrible customer service from start to finish. I reserved a mini-van for an official govt/military mission. The counter rep was rude after I asked a few questions and presented a certificate for an upgrade. She told me which area to pick up the vehicle and then to take it through the fast break lane. The first vehicle they gave me was dirty, and had low tire pressure. They switched me to a different vehicle that was operational but still had popcorn and water bottles from the previous customer. When going through the fastbreak lane, I was told I wasn't in the system for a rental, but she took care of it on the spot. When I returned the vehicle to catch an early morning flight, there wasn't anyone to accept the vehicle and give me a receipt. I left the vehicle in line and left the keys in console as their sign instructed. I got on the shuttle to go to the airport. That's when a rep jumped on and asked where the keys were. Since I was already on the shuttle with bags I figured I would go to their website or have the receipt emailed to me. Mistake!! The receipt is not posted online and no email ever came. I tried calling the counter but after answering all the automated questions, I get put on hold for 30 minutes. I tried calling the main customer service, who then transferred me to a different department. He took my info and said he would send it to yet another department and they would close the reservation. I was then told to call back in about four days to get receipt. I asked him to talk to the counter where the vehicle was rented but he gave me another number to call instead. It rings twice and then goes to fax. Terrible experience all around with this company and at BWI airport.
Everything about my rental experience with this Budget facility was superb! The reservation was easy to make on line. The "Fast Break" lines were very well populated with a wide variety of vehicles. The check out procedure was super fast. The SUV we selected was immaculate inside and out. The vehicle ran perfectly and it was miserly on fuel. The check-in procedure could not have been easier. If Budget continues to perform to this level ... AND ... if Budget continues to highlight Ford products ... We will never go anywhere else to rent our cars and trucks.
Best car experience ever. No fee for returning to different location. Fast/Clean car. Fast check in/check out. The shuttle drivers were extremely nice, friendly and went above and beyond to help me and my son save $50 and MAKE our flight. Just wow!!! I pray you are blessed as you have blessed me!
